Highlighting gr8ness: Meet LJ
Tell us about yourself!
I'm a retired college basketball player, but ball is still life. If I'm not shooting hoops or looking for pick-up games, I'm in the gym or somewhere making up my own workouts- or eating gr8nola!
Literally every morning before work, with a generous scoop of peanut butter. Just like my workouts, I don't feel like I've started my day until I have a bowl of gr8nola.
If you haven't tried gr8nola "oatmeal" style, do it NOW. Just poor some in a bowl, add water, microwave for 2 minutes, poor some almond milk over the top and anything else in it your heart desires, and you will experience the taste of oatmeal revolutionized!
What makes you hungry for gr8ness?
My college basketball coach told our team, "If you leave this season learning nothing from me about basketball, please take away with you this: never become complacent. Whether it's in sports, work, or your personal life." This has stuck with me in everything that I do. I strive for gr8ness because every day is a blessing and I want to feel accomplished at the end of my days. If you're not challenging yourself every day, you will never experience the irreplaceable feeling of accomplishment and reward. That's my "itch" that I always strive to feel.
Its #MarchMadness season - how do you fuel for a big game?
gr8nola? But seriously, if it existed when I played college ball, I'd probably eat it for breakfast on game day. Instead I would always go with a spinach and avocado omelette, and a big spoonful of peanut butter on the side.
