Highlighting team gr8nola: Xavier

Tell us about yourself and when did you join team gr8nola?

Hey all, I’m Xavier and I would describe myself as a little bit of Tom Haverford from Parks and Recreation and a little bit of Jim Halpert from the office mixed in as well! Aside from that, I would say I’m a typical midwest kid (Chicago for #life) that’s just trying to make a decent impact in a crazy world.

I joined the gr8nola team in May 2017 and it’s been one of the best decisions of my young life. Working with Erica and the rest of the team has been collaborative, motivating, and challenging (in a gr8 way). Erica pushes us to be better in our roles, and because of that we have seen insane growth. I can’t wait for everyone to catch on the gr8nola madness, because it’s worth every delicious bite! As for my main role, I am involved in all things technical from Amazon, analytics (that reminds me need to check on that), the website, and more!

In my off time, I love to exercise, play some futbol, travel, or catch the latest concert! I’m a pro netflixer, wannabe woodworker, and I board when I can.

What makes you hungry for gr8ness?

Making good on the great support and energy that those around me including friends and family have given me. All the sacrifices that people have made to give me the amazing opportunities I have, make me want to always give my best. It’s easy to want to give up or to just say whatever, but when think to back to all the groundwork those that care about you laid out there’s no choice but to keep on pushing forward and give your all.

What’s the gr8est gift you’ve ever received?

Probably the trip to California my senior year of high school, we went as a family and it was a great way to celebrate the end of my high school years!

What’s on your wishlist this year?

Tacos, world peace, great weather, also for us to know when Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty are coming back!

What’s on your 2018 bucket list?

I have a few set goals to accomplish in the next couple years but in 2018 maybe: run a half-marathon, go to Burning Man or Coachella, hit the surf in central America, and figure out a hairstyle I can commit too.
