“The first thing that came to mind when I tried gr8nola was “finally!“ I was so happy to find a healthy, flavorful granola that gives me great versatility in how I can work it into meals and snacks – without the guilt.”— Renee S.
Tell us about yourself:
This native Houstonian has turned from a “city mouse to a country mouse”. I love waking up each day to nature’s sounds and creatures, and the fresh air that makes me feel healthy and alive. I am the Cofounder/Executive Director of a nonprofit organization I started in Houston -Tapestry of Hope. For the past ten years, I’ve personally mentored close to 400 underprivileged teens to help them get into and through college (and pretty much helped with whatever else they’ve needed). During this same journey, I’ve also tried to impart my advice on how they can lead healthier lives – especially to “my kids” who are now college grads and have the resources to make good choices. Because I’ve been very focused on my own health for the past 20+ years, and know the huge benefits of taking care of yourself, it made perfect sense for me to start an additional career this year called Head to Toe Health Coaching. I decided to ‘merge’ my two passions so I can make more of an impact on the young people I treasure, and …be able to use my mentoring skills in my professional coaching practice. I LOVE helping people!
What inspires you to be gr8?
I am inspired to be the best I can be so I can encourage and help others do the same. I want to be “a walking billboard” to inspire women especially, of all ages, never to settle for just feeling “OK”, or feeling anything less than alive and beautiful!
because it makes me feel good to know that I am nourishing my body and soul with goodness and supporting an American woman-owned small business that wants to unselfishly spread gr8ness and wellness to others.
